Type of membership:
- Ordinary Members
- Auxiliary Members
Necessary Requirement for ordinary membership:
- Availability
For auxiliary membership, please refer to Requirement for Auxiliary members.
Teaching Team MeetingFrequency: Once a month.
Format: - Opening prayer, 10 min
- Spiritual Input or formation, 10-20 min
- Faith Sharing, 10-20 min
- Business, 30-40 min
Time Commitment
For Ordinary Teaching Team members:
- Attend The Emmaus Prayer meetings weekly.
- Attend teaching team meeting once a month with each meeting last about 2 hours.
- Continuous formation, personal study.
- Spend time to prepare sessions (for speakers), or to find resources (for non-speakers).
- Spend time to practice with someone else before the sessions (for speaker).
For Auxiliary Teaching Team members:
- One time meeting to discuss sessions (about 1 hour) and or discussion through phone calls or emails.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for ordinary teaching team members are:
- Attend teaching team meeting (plus refer to time commitment section).
- Discuss and propose topics to the Core Team for approval.
- Prepare and/or present teaching sessions.
The responsibilities for the Coordinator of the Teaching Ministry are:
- Planning and preparing the weekly teaching sessions.
- Discussing with teaching team members and Propose teaching topics to the Core Team for approval.
- Planning and preparing the speakers for the weekly teaching sessions.
- Preparing formation material for monthly teaching team meetings.
- Chairing monthly teaching team meetings.
Requirement for Auxiliary Members- Proposed by teaching team or the Core Team.
- A good Catholic and a witness to Jesus Christ in his/her daily lives.
- Have at least 1 year experience in giving talks, teaching ministry, catechist, or giving faith formation sessions.
